ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu - an Initiative of Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu and CII is a non-profit autonomous organization focusing to improve the quality of students passing out of institutes and colleges in Tamil Nadu to make them industry ready and immediately employable in the ICT industry comprising the ICT services and the ICT Manufacturing sectors.
 
MISSION
ICTACT collaborate with public and private organizations to create, integrate and disseminate knowledge in the field of ICT to bridge the gap between Academia output and industry requirements thus providing every learner an equal opportunity to become industry ready. ICTACT Institutional Membership Angel College of Engineering and Technology is an institutional member of ICTACT from August 2010. ICTACT has trained faculties in the following program for the past one year.
  • certificate in .NET Programming
  • Certificate in JAVA Programming
  • Advanced Refresher Program for VLSI Faculty with Hands on training on Analog-Mixed Signal and Digital using Cadence Tools
  • Multi-core Programming for Academia
 
TOWARDS PLACEMENT
ICTACT had facilitated Campus recruitment drive for IT Companies, thereby creating employment opportunities for the students in ICTACT Member Institutions. In a recent initiative, ICTACT had facilitated Campus recruitment drive for leading IT Company, where more than 8000 students participated in two regions out of which 3 students from ACET has been recruited in Brila Soft India Ltd.
 
About Bridge 2011
ICTACT in association with NASCOM is organizing a series of conference titled “ICTACT BRIDGE”, a platform for all the stake holders to discuss on improving the Industry-institute interaction primarily on the key issues that includes Role of technology, innovation, applied research, entrepreneurship, future virtual world, curriculum change, Industry expectations, skill development, etc. The ICTACT Bridge 2011 Chennai Edition was conducted during Feb 2011 with a focus on Skills for Future and innovation has received an overwhelming response from all quarters of the stakeholders with culmination of around 600 participants with representations from Leading Corporate, Academia, Government and Media with focused sessions by eminent speakers. Inauguration of BRIDGE 2011 on Feb 16th , 2010 in Hotel LeMerdian, Chennai ICTACT Student Certification Program Department of CSE & IT with association of ICTACT has organized a value added course on “Certificate in Web Application Development using .NET Technologies” for the final year students. Totally 62 students has been trained and certified from February 2011 to June 2011.
