The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2008. It offers a four year B.E. degree programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering is designed to prepare graduates for responsible engineering positions in design, development, research, applications and operation in the fields of control systems, electromagnetism, power electronics & drives, high voltage, communication, digital signal processing systems, digital and analog electronic circuits, computer aided design and power systems.
The Department imparts training with the best of teaching expertise in fields of Electrical Machines, Power Electronics & Drives, Process Control & Instrumentation and Applied Electronics supported by excellent laboratory infrastructure and exposure to recent trends in the industry, to ensure that the students are molded into competent electrical engineers and worthy citizens of the country.

Electrical Machines Lab is well equipped with latest machines from Kirloskar Ltd, Benn Machines like DC Generator Coupled with DC Motor of Shunt and compound excitation, DC Motor with Shunt, Series and Compound Types. Induction Machines with various types, Synchronous Machines

- Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory
This lab is well equipped with Signal Conditioning thermocouple measurement module / AD 590, Piezo-electric module - vibration sensor transducer, Data Acquisition card - 12 bit ADC & 14 bit DAC, Multiplexed and parallel measurement module – 18 bit ADC & 16 bit DAC, 12 bit ADC & 14 bit DAC.Hands on learning with real world are very important in academia today. LABVIEW provides an intuitive platform that can connect to thousands of sensors and instruments to acquire, analyze, process signals and present results graphically.
- Circuits and Engineering Practices Laboratory
This lab is well equipped with latest CRO’s, Function Generators, Power Supplies and basic components for conducting Electric Circuits and electrical and electronics engineering practice.
