The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established with the vision of developing as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and to make the students blossom into meritorious and self-disciplined Engineers by hard work. Right from its inception, the Department has been laying more emphasis on teaching in diversified areas there by moulding the students to be highly technocrats, critical thinkers, skilled communicators and ethical leaders. The Department of ECE shows its strength by means of visible results. We send students for in-plant training. We provide value added courses like VLSI, Embedded, Networks, Computer Hardware and Interfacing. Students visit industries every semester. On a regular basis, we conduct guest lectures by experts and eminent persons from various fields. The ECE students Consortium focuses on developing the technical base of students keeping step with the present day requirements for deeper domain knowledge. In our department, TECH CLINIC is built, which provides an opportunity for the students in developing their technical skills by doing Mini projects and also to gain knowledge relating to all software’s like Proteus, Keil and Microwind. Reputed companies conduct campus interviews through the placement cell and 90% of the students got employment. The Department conducts workshops & training programmes periodically for the benefit of students and faculty.
The ECE Department has 10 Laboratories:
- Electron Devices and Circuits Laboratory
- Digital Electronics Laboratory
- Linear Integrated Circuits Laboratory
- Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory
